Dr. Olivier D'Hondt
Senior Synthetic Aperture Radar (Sar) Scientist
Olivier D'Hondt is a Senior SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) Scientist at Floodbase. He is the holder of a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rennes I, France. He is interested in combining Computer Vision and Machine Learning techniques with SAR remote sensing to solve real world problems. He has worked on methodological developments such as speckle filtering, land-cover classification, 3-D reconstruction from tomographic SAR data and texture analysis. He has also contributed to environmental applications such as volcano monitoring and characterization of regions in Antarctica.
