Benedict von Merey

Benedict is Head of Parametric Partnerships at Floodbase, where he works with public- and private-sector partners around the world to design and scale innovative insurance programs that strengthen local climate resilience. He brings a commercial and strategic perspective to translating climate risk into financial solutions that protect communities and critical assets. Prior to joining Floodbase, Benedict held commercial roles across climate and frontier-technology companies, including Climeworks, the global leader in carbon removal, where he helped scale emerging solutions with global enterprises. He began his career as a strategy consultant at PwC Strategy& and holds a Master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris.
