Dr. Colin Doyle
Dr. Colin Doyle is Principal Scientist at Floodbase, where he develops innovative approaches and technology for measuring flood risk and designing parametric insurance solutions. His research uses a variety of techniques from hydrology, geomorphology, machine learning, and remote sensing to understand natural and anthropogenic development of floodplains, wetlands, and water resources for long-term resilience. Colin received his PhD and MA from the Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of Texas at Austin, and a BS in Environmental Biology from Georgetown University. Prior to Floodbase, Colin worked as a researcher in the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center developing near real-time flood monitoring and assessment systems.
